Sandra Serrano graduated in Spain with a Bachelors Degree in Physiotherapy from Castilla La Mancha University in 2008. Sandra has completed 3 years study of Osteopathy at the Osteopathic Concept French School, in Madrid (Spain).In 2014, she completed her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Castilla La Mancha Univeristy in Spain. She moved to Dubai in 2015. Currently, she is pursuing her MSc Degree in Clinical and Sports Nutrition with Isabel I University, Madrid (Spain)
From 2008 to 2015, Sandra worked in a polyclinic in Ciudad Real, Spain, where she gained experience in treating the following conditions:
* Musculoskeletal, Trauma and Orthopedic disorders (spine injuries, lack of mobility and flexibility, tennis elbow, frozen shoulder, sprains, knee pathologies.)
* Sports Injuries. For the past 9 years, she has been interested in running, she herself is a runner and active sports woman. She enjoys treating patients with sports injuries and following their rehabilitation. She has participated in many sports events in Spain and she has been a physio at the Dubai Rugby Sevens 2015 and Iron Man 2016, Dubai.
* Neurological (Multiple sclerosis, Strokes, spinal cord injuries, muscular dystrophies, brachial plexus injury, peripheral nerve injuries in adults).
*Geriatric Rehabilitation. Helping elderly people to keep their basic functions and activities such as coordination, flexibility, mobility, strength, stretching, aerobic exercises.
She is a certified Instructor in Pilates Floor exercises and has conducted Pilates classes for 8 years especially with patients suffering from musculoskeletal disorders and also with people who want to improve their quality of life through freer movement, eg. those who work with computers.
In 2016, she was certified in the ISST Schroth Method for idiopathic scolisis with Axel Hennes (Germany) and Western Acupuncture for physiotherapists with Jonh Hobbs (UK) where she is an AACP member. She has also completed postgraduate courses in Dry Needling, EPTE Percutaneous Electrolysis Therapy (a revolutionary new technique for tendinopathies), McConnel taping with Alfio Albasini (Italy), Dermoneuromodulation with Dianne Jacobs (Canada), Neurodynamic Mobilitation and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders.
